111 events in Rio commemorate the year 2000 and the 500 years of
the discovery of Brazil. Rio's schedule is full for the coming
year. The calendar in Rio, from december on, includes 111 events attracting
more than three million tourists to Rio, almost double compared to last year.
The official logo of the year 2000 commemoration shown above was inspired
by the beaches and mountains of the city.

Happy New Year 2000, the world famous New
Years Eve at Copacabana is already being planned, expecting an attendance

Great Play, Romário opens his thematic bar, Café do
Gol. When you enter you experience some of the emotions of being right in
the field of a crowded stadium. It's 3000 square meters include a bar, restaurant
and disco located at Praia do Pepę, Barra da Tijuca.

Check R-9, the world famous Ronaldinho, considered the
best soccer player of the world, has opened his new bar R-9 at Leblon, Rio
de Janeiro.
